By Corey Cusick | The Times-Georgian CARROLLTON - The way Tim Cummings looks at it, his pupil pulled off the unthinkable on Saturday afternoon. The Athens Christian cross-country coach was nearly at a loss for words when it came to Colin Bishoff's coming-out party at the GHSA State Cross Country Championships at Carrollton High School - as the recent Region 8-A champion knocked off three former state champions en route to his first Class A state title. "I've never heard of it," Cummings said. "It may have happened, but I've never heard of it. Those are great athletes. Big, old strong kids. He's not as big as any one of them's right leg." Bishoff, who finished in 15 minutes and 55 seconds, fended off reigning Class A champion Ian Rogan of Prince Avenue Christian, as well as Our Lady of Mercy's Matt Lethbridge for the honor, enduring a hilly terrain.
